About CUTTS

Rachel R. Cutts is a sports medicine clinician, educator, and founder of Cutts EmPower Movement. With more than a decade of experience—including four years working with NBA and G League athletes, she integrates physical therapy, athletic training, sports nutrition, manual therapy, and strength and conditioning to help clients recover from injury, improve performance, and support long-term health.

Rachel previously served as Head Athletic Trainer, Senior Physical Therapist, and Dietitian for the Detroit Pistons organization and as Physical Therapist and Head Athletic Trainer for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s G League affiliate, the OKC Blue. Her approach combines movement and biomechanical assessment, evidence-based rehabilitation, injury prevention, pain science, dry needling, corrective exercise, performance training, and individualized nutrition.

She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Master of Science in Athletic Training, a Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Her credentials include Board-Certified Orthopedic and Sports Clinical Specialist, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, Registered Dietitian, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Through Cutts EmPower Movement, Rachel provides integrated rehabilitation, performance, and nutrition services for professional and collegiate athletes and active individuals. She also develops educational resources on sports nutrition, hydration, injury recovery, and performance.

A former collegiate basketball player and current women’s professional tackle football player, Rachel understands athletic performance from both clinical and personal perspectives. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, lifting heavy, running, and spending time outdoors.
